miles

It's roughly 300 miles between Anderson and Henderson (where Asher is staying with his parents for the summer). Lately, I've been scheduled to work mostly weekends so its been hard to find time to leave town to visit Asher. A few times I've been able to meet him in Charlotte which is about halfway and sometimes he drives all the way here to see me. This time I felt like it was my turn to drive. Plus, I just really wanted to see him so instead of trying to shuffle shifts around for the weekend, I left Sunday afternoon to North Carolina for a few days. My mom was really skeptical about my car surviving the distance but she let me go anyway. And my car did fine. It was the longest distance I've driven (alone) in a few years, but once I got there, it was definitely worth it.  Henderson isn't necessarily great but I really enjoyed being there with Asher.
